MEET BENJAMIN OWNER & TECHNICIAN · WAYNESVILLE, NC

CompTIA A+ Certified
Hi, I'm Benjamin Gevjan — the owner and technician behind Waynesville Computer Services. I'm CompTIA A+ certified, the industry-standard certification for computer technicians, and I've been working on computers for about six years, and it's been a passion of mine the whole time. I'm comfortable with Windows, Mac, and Linux, and I've spent most of those years working hands-on with desktops and laptops — building, upgrading, troubleshooting, and rebuilding them from the ground up.
I earned my CompTIA A+ in 2024 through Tuscola High School's two-year Computer Engineering Technology program (Computer Engineering Technology I and II), taught with Haywood Community College. I started Waynesville Computer Services in September 2026.
What I'm proudest of is troubleshooting. When something's wrong, I don't stop at the symptom — I track down the real cause and fix it right. Turning that into my own business just made sense: it's the work I'd be doing anyway.
Before starting this business, I also picked up real-world problem-solving experience working on local farms and in retail, and I bring that same practical, no-nonsense approach to every repair.
The business is registered in Haywood County under two names, Waynesville Computer Services and Waynesville Computer Repair (both filed with the Haywood County Register of Deeds), and with the NC Department of Revenue for sales tax.
The work I do: diagnostics and hardware repair, memory and SSD upgrades, virus removal, tune-ups, Windows and Linux installs, data recovery and custom PC builds. What I don't do: screens, batteries, phones or remote repairs. If that's what you need, I'll tell you up front. Every price is on the services page, and the FAQ answers the usual questions.
Outside the shop, I run The Private Citizen Project, my own site with free guides on keeping your accounts, photos and files in your own hands.
When you call or drop off your device, you're working directly with me — the person who answers the phone is the same one fixing your computer. I treat every repair like it's my own machine.
